Denise Hamb didn't find farming — farming found her. Rooted in lessons passed down from her grandmother and father, her love for the land began long before she ever owned a piece of it. After settling in Decatur, Georgia, that love grew into something she couldn't ignore.

When she finally acquired her own land, Denise went all in. She became a certified Master Gardener in 2006, earned her Produce Safety Alliance certification in 2017, and became a certified Journeyman Farmer in 2019. In 2021, she made the decision to take things even further.

Today, Denise grows everything with organic practices at heart — not because a certificate says so, but because she believes it's the right way to farm. She's currently deepening her knowledge through herb classes, reconnecting with nature's ability to nourish and heal. At Hamb Ridge Farm, every harvest carries her story.
